"Greetings fellow Corpsman. Just found this sight as I have a colleague who now lives in a condo at the former Hospital sight. I was stationed there from around June 1967 to April 1968. Spent most of my time working on Ward 13 "Dirty Orthopedics" I…"

Hi David: Yes I remember Judy Garland coming to Chelsea.. I was duty Clutch..Driver that weekend.. I was supposed to go to Logan Airport and pick her up. but she had a limo waiting. LOL.. She went to every Ward in the Main Building and sang a song or two. Then took two patients back to Boston to her hotel and they saw her show..
I was at Chelsea from Corps School 1967 to November of 1969. No one lasted 2 years at Chelsea in those day's. If I had not finally made HM3. I think I would have been forgotten by the Navy until it was too late to send me to Nam..
